Product description
Sunflower protein 45 is rich in protein, has a strong amino acid profile, is easily digestible and contains relatively low anti-nutritional factors. The sunflower seeds is heated and pressed mechanically, which extracts most of the oil from the seeds. The residual product (sunflower seed meal) is then further purified to increase its protein level. The end product, after grinding, results in a green-grey material that can be supplied either as pellets, flour or fine powder form.
Sunflower protein 45 is an ideal plant-based feed ingredient for various animal applications such as cattle, birds and fish. It can be used to improve the amino acid balance in feeds and is a more cost-effective alternative for soy bean meal. Sunflower protein 45 is also available in organic form.
