Pea protein isolate 80 is a plant-based ingredient with a particularly high protein content and a strong amino acid profile (e.g. rich in lysine). This makes it an excellent substitute for soy proteins or potato proteins. Pea protein isolate 80 is manufactured from yellow or green peas. The peas are cleaned, de-hulled, and grounded. Afterwards, the starch component is then removed using a liquid filtration process, leaving a protein-rich product. This is then dried and standardised, resulting in a cream-yellowish powder with a neutral taste and a characteristic smell.
Pea protein isolate 80 is perfect for usage in high-grade applications in food, pet food, feeds for young animals, and Calf Milk Replacers (CMR).
