Product description
Faba bean protein is extracted by mechanical separation. The first step in the production process is the removal of the shells and skins from the beans. The protein and starch fractions are afterwards separated. The result is a fine, cream to brown-coloured powder with a specific flavour and aroma.
Faba bean protein concentrate can be used as a gluten-free substitute for cereal products in feeds for (young) animals, such as pets, fish, calves (CMR) and piglets. Adding faba bean protein concentrate can improve the inclusion of fats in a recipe. When used in biscuits, for example, it creates a solid texture.
