Corn gluten meal is an excellent, easily digestible source of protein and energy, with a low ash content. Corn gluten meal 60 is obtained during the wet milling process where starch is extracted from the endosperm of the kernel. The wet gluten component is separated, dried, then milled into an orange-brown granulate, flour or fine powder.
Corn gluten meal 60 is a valuable protein and energy-rich ingredient for pet food, aquafeed and animal feed. Corn gluten meal is also rich in xanthophyll, a natural colourant that gives egg yolk a yellowish colour (pigment).
